As a seasoned yacht chef, I was tired of the same old story: jackets that didn’t fit, weren’t made for women, and definitely didn’t let me express who I was. Oversized. Unflattering. Always “unisex.” Where were all the fun colours, the bold prints, the personality for chefs, who are artists in their own right?
And so, I decided to design something better—for myself, and for every other woman who shows up in a kitchen ready to lead, create, and cook with purpose.
Funky Chef began as a rebellion—against the shapeless and the same-old. It’s a call for confidence, comfort, and character in an industry that’s ready for something different.
When you see me in my chef’s jacket, I want you to think, “She looks badass—I can’t wait to see what her food’s like.”
Funky Chef is where my childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer meets my experience on the pass. It’s about celebrating women in the kitchen—with the presence they deserve. Here’s to breaking the mold!
