OUR FOUNDER STORY
Funky Chef was founded by yacht chef Hannah Baldzuhn after years of working in professional kitchens where the uniforms available simply weren’t designed with women in mind. Most chef jackets were oversized, unflattering, and labelled “unisex” - leaving little room for comfort, confidence, or personal expression.

Frustrated by the lack of options, Hannah began designing her own jackets - combining the functionality required for professional kitchens with colours, shapes, and details that actually worked for women’s bodies.
What started as a personal solution quickly revealed a much bigger gap in the industry: chefwear built specifically for women who take pride in their craft and want to feel confident doing it.
Funky Chef brings together Hannah’s lifelong love of fashion design and her experience working on the pass - creating chef jackets that celebrate the creativity, individuality, and presence of women in professional kitchens.
